Welsh Love Songs -- mp3s
Thank you for purchasing this book! I'm no longer providing CDs for my books, but instead you'll be able to click on a title listed below to hear these unfamiliar tunes.
You're aware that a lot of music can now be produced by using artificial intelligence, or "AI," yes? Well, these soundfiles were produced using "CW" technology. In other words, these are not recordings of Carol Walker actually playing her dulcimer, and making some flubs along the way or just playing wrong notes and not going back to fix them.
But rather, these are produced by playing Carol Walker's actual arrangements through her computer -- note for note as they appear in the book -- without flubs or wrong notes. CW has even enhanced these "performances" so as not to sound too "robotic," but the one thing missing will always be the personal touch provided by a live player -- Carol -- on her gorgeous Folkcraft dulcimer. However, the whole point of these is to give you the essence of how these songs could sound when you're playing them yourself, but also leaving plenty of room for your own personal interpretation of tempo and dynamics.
TBH, it would have taken Carol Walker many weeks to get these soundfiles ready for prime time, but CW has done it in a few days!
And one other detail: All the songs have at least two verses, so each one is recorded with all the repeats (and 1st and 2nd endings) exactly as written, which will give you a great "roadmap" to follow as you practice along. Songs with more than two verses are NOT recorded multiple times but instead are just played twice through. You'll figure it out...
Enjoy!
