This book is for all my dulcimer friends who enjoy bringing the comfort of familiar hymns to folks in senior centers, nursing homes, and hospitals. The hymns would also be wonderful to play during a church service, as accompaniment for congregational singing, or using the softer, gentler ones as background for prayer and meditation, saving the more energetic ones for the postlude, or even at a sing-along during a fellowship gathering.
Each hymn has been carefully arranged so as to enable all members of your dulcimer group to play with each other, regardless of their level of ability. Beginners and novice players will love the "Easy" versions, while the intermediate and advanced players will appreciate the more challenging "Fancy" versions.
Each version can stand alone -- or -- play both the Easy and Fancy versions together as a duet or in an ensemble of any size! Wherever and however you play them, I know you'll bring joy, comfort, and inspiration to your listeners, and to yourself as well!
