Carol's first dulcimer ensemble book features 10 familiar pieces from a wide variety of repertoire, including classical melodies, Celtic tunes, choral literature, hymns, and American traditional standards.
Each of the 10 arrangements contains a minimum of five parts arranged for standard and bass dulcimers; eight pieces also use baritone dulcimer; one piece even includes an optional part for the Dulcimette!
In general, the parts mostly fall into the "Intermediate" category, with some parts also accessible to "novice" players, while a couple of other parts will challenge even the most "Advanced" players!
Every arrangement also includes an "EASY" part, written especially for standard dulcimer players with little to no experience on their instrument. These parts are all in DAD tuning, do not require a 1+ fret, have simple rhythms, and rarely go above the 5th fret.
In short, EVERY player in ANY ensemble can participate and contribute something to the overall experience!

Your purchase includes 66 mp3s that you can download. You can practice any part you choose with 100 other dulcimer players on these unique soundfiles, which have been recorded at or close to the performance tempo.
The book also contains detailed information related to each title along with suggestions for successful practice and performance.
